• Overview

  As our Senior Full Stack Engineer, you will collaborate with our Product, Engineering, Marketing, Creative, and Operations team to evolve and refine our eCommerce web experience. This is a senior role for an experienced developer looking for and excited to work with Next.js, Netlify, and Customizer by Pack Digital on our Headless Shopify Website. Our ideal candidate will welcome the chance to lead, mentor and grow our in-house Engineering team from the ground up.
  
  This is a U.S. remote role, with an option to work from our HQ in Chicago.

• Responsibilities

  • Building, implementing, and testing new designs and functionality across our website
  • Coaching other engineers to help them develop their technical skills
  • Partnering with Product in developing a roadmap and technical vision
  • Assisting in scoping, estimating and allocating project work
  • Taking initiative on performance and conversion optimization efforts
  • Leadership and participation in growing the Engineering team through mentoring, recruiting and hiring

• Minimum Requirements

  • 6+ years of professional experience as a Front End Engineer with some experience working for or with a direct to consumer online brand
  • 3+ years experience with React, Next.js, and headless hosted frameworks
  • Proficiency in Shopify development, especially with custom app development and/or custom webhooks
  • Comfort in developing on top of headless CMS platforms like Pack Digital or Contentful
  • An understanding of Headless Shopify development
  • Experience leading and growing project or engineering teams
  • Enthusiasm for pushing the limits of technology and software to partner with Creative for a better customer experience
  • Collaborative mindset and passion for their craft
  • Effective and open communicator

  • Comfortable working through ambiguity and managing multiple requests at once

  • Basic understanding of UX principles and experience working directly with Product and UX/UI leads from discovery through execution
  • Knowledgeable in building responsive web components
  • Experience with implementing CSS tagging to support web analytics
